Trading Assistant - Emerging Markets

Job Description

BlueCrest is seeking a Trading Assistant to join their Emerging Markets team in Geneva. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced EM Portfolio Managers and engage with market makers and sales professionals.

Role Involves:

• Booking deals and monitoring positions within EM Fixed Income
• Trade structuring
• Liaising between the trading desk and support functions
• Ensuring integrity of positions held in front office tools
• Support for Portfolio Managers
• Managing projects that improve desk efficiency
• Pricing and administering unwinds and novation protocol
• Doing quantitative work to build tools to improve trading on the desk
• Opportunity to progress to an execution trading role over time

Requirements:

• Trading experience in front office on sell or buy side
• Good experience and understanding of a wide range of products across EM rates
• The ability to ‘think on your feet’
• Organisation skills to prioritise and manage several different tasks at once
• Excellent eye for detail
• Thorough in checks and processes
• Degree from a reputable university in Finance, Economics, Business or otherwise have a demonstrated interest in investment products
• Ability to perform independently and take on increased responsibilities
