Senior Trade Support Engineer

Job Description

DRW, a diversified trading firm, is seeking a Senior Trade Support Engineer to join their team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience in trade support, site reliability engineering, or related fields, and a strong understanding of trading platforms and financial markets. This role offers the opportunity to solve complex technical problems and work closely with trading, infrastructure, and software development teams.DRW is looking for someone to maintain the health and availability of a world-class trading ecosystem. The Senior Trade Support Engineer will be responsible for:

• Responding to support requests from traders and software engineers
• Liaising with external trading partners, such as financial exchanges and clearing firms, to resolve technical problems
• Onboarding new trading desks, trading systems, and technologies

DRW requires:

• 5-10+ years working in trade support, site reliability engineering or related fields
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field
• Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and common network troubleshooting tools
• Familiarity with trading platforms and financial markets
• Experience working in a production Kubernetes environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
