Senior Trading Systems Engineer

Job Description

DRW, a diversified trading firm, is seeking a Senior Trading Systems Engineer to join their team in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of DRW's technology by working closely with trading, infrastructure, and software development teams. This individual will also communicate directly with exchanges, traders, and developers to resolve any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the health and availability of a world-class trading ecosystem.
• Responding to support requests from traders and software engineers.
• Liaising with external trading partners, such as financial exchanges and clearing firms, to resolve technical problems.
• Onboarding new trading desks, trading systems, and technologies.

DRW requires the following qualifications:

• 5-10+ years of experience in trade support, site reliability engineering, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field.
• Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common network troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with trading platforms and financial markets.
• Experience working in a production Kubernetes environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations while working alongside traders, developers, and other engineering teams.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
