Trading Systems Engineer

DRW, a diversified trading firm with over three decades of experience, is seeking a Senior Trading Systems Engineer to join their team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will possess extensive skills in solving complex technical problems and providing smooth support for DRW's technology. This role involves close collaboration with trading, infrastructure, and software development teams, as well as direct communication with exchanges, traders, and developers to resolve issues.Role involves:

• Maintaining the health and availability of a world-class trading ecosystem.
• Responding to support requests from traders and software engineers.
• Contributing to automation and monitoring solutions.
• Liaising with external trading partners to resolve technical issues.
• Onboarding new trading desks, trading systems, and technologies.

Requirements:

• 5-10+ years of experience in trade support, site reliability engineering, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field.
• Familiarity with trading platforms and financial markets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation tasks.
• Ability to devise complex SQL database queries and updates.
• Basic networking knowledge, including multicast, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common network troubleshooting tools.
