Accounting Manager - Energy

DRW, a diversified trading firm, is seeking an Accounting Manager – Energy to join their growing Accounting & Finance team. • Leading key aspects of daily accounting operations, including oversight of General Ledger transactions, cash management functions, AR/AP workflows, storage and derivatives accounting, and detailed reconciliations.
• Analyzing detailed trade information and reconcile data between internal trade systems and external statements.
• Taking ownership of month-end closing activities across several legal entities.
• Preparing accurate and timely financial statements consistent with GAAP/IFRS standards.
• Leading relevant parts of the annual financial audits.
• Overseeing and proactively managing compliance with financial covenants.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of public or corporate accounting experience.
• Previous experience working in or with physical gas and/or power trading firms.
• Experience with Endur ETRM preferred.
• Previous experience working with Oracle preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS, preferred.
• Must be very detail oriented.
• Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and be flexible to handle changing priorities.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
