Job Description
DRW is seeking a Trade Support Engineer to join their team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will employ their skills to solve complex technical problems, working closely with trading, infrastructure, and software development teams to provide smooth support for DRW's technology.
The Trade Support Engineer will communicate directly with counterparties, exchanges, traders, and developers to resolve issues. They will also work as part of a team to establish best-in-class production support, efficient software deployment, configuration processes, and proactive monitoring.
What this role involves:
- Maintaining the health and availability of a world-class trading ecosystem.
- Responding to support requests from traders and software engineers.
- Liaising with external trading partners to resolve technical problems.
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure continuity and consistency of support in a 24x7 environment.
- Building documentation for common procedures, troubleshooting scenarios, and system architecture.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in the financial industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field.
- Exposure to VCS, particularly Git/Github.
- Demonstrated scripting abilities in Python and Bash.
- Comfortable with SQL and Linux command-line.
- Service-oriented mindset.
- Experience with proprietary trading systems and troubleshooting production incidents.
- Experience developing proprietary process automation and monitoring tools.
- Tenacity in solving complex technical problems.
