Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain a deep network of sources on Wall Street and in financial circles.
- Break major news on deals, market shifts, regulatory actions, and industry trends.
- Write engaging, insightful, and accurate articles under tight deadlines.
- Deliver context and analysis, making financial news accessible and engaging for a sophisticated readership.
- Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience covering Wall Street, finance, or related industries.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly secure high-level interviews and exclusive information.
- Strong writing skills with clarity, flair, and precision.
- Excellent news judgment and ethical standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
