Senior Software Engineer, Gemini apps

Job Description

Google DeepMind is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Zurich, Switzerland, to work on the Gemini apps for Android and iOS. The successful candidate will be responsible for building features for Gemini apps, contributing to the development and growth of these applications. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs into valuable app features, participate in code reviews, and enforce development best practices.

The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on prioritization, lightweight processes, and rapid execution. The team works closely with sister teams in Mountain View and Bangalore, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deliver compelling new features for Gemini's applications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate user needs into intuitive, valuable app features.
• Proactively participate in code reviews and enforce development best practices.

Requirements:

• Experience in Kotlin/Java on Android & Objective-C/Swift in iOS.
• Experience with experiment frameworks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work with teams in different time zones (Mountain View, Zurich, Bangalore).
