Job Description
Google DeepMind is seeking an Archive Manager/Filmmaker for a 12-month fixed-term contract in London. This role sits within the Creative team but collaborates with external documentary filmmakers. The ideal candidate will build and manage a film archive and create short-form video content from new and existing materials.
The Archive Manager/Filmmaker will be instrumental in upcoming filming opportunities, manage shoots, and coordinate logistics. They will also organize and catalog existing archival assets, produce compelling video content, and provide editing support for other Google DeepMind video projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the feature documentary team.
- Manage and coordinate shoots.
- Ingest, transcode, group, and sync raw footage.
- Develop and maintain a well-organized folder structure.
- Organize and catalog existing archival assets.
- Creatively edit archival assets.
- Develop engaging motion graphics and visual effects.
- Provide editing support for video projects.
Requirements:
- Experience setting up video and audio recording setups.
- Knowledge of video cameras, file formats, and codecs.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot video equipment.
- 3+ years of professional experience in video/film production.
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with media management software.
- Familiarity with color correction software.
- Experience with transcription tools.
- Understanding of video compression techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
