Game Security Data Analyst

Job Description

2K is seeking a Game Security Data Analyst to join its growing security team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, talented, and personable, with a passion for pushing the boundaries of anti-cheat, anti-piracy, and anti-toxicity efforts. Reporting to the Director of Game Security, the analyst will collaborate with game studios and security vendors to maintain fair and inclusive gaming environments.

The Game Security Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing cheat tools, reviewing game and anti-cheat telemetry, and ensuring players have the best possible experience. Collaboration with game teams and analytic teams is crucial.

What this role involves:

• Analyzing cheats and game exploits
• Automating telemetry-based systems
• Investigating and executing interventions to combat exploitive behaviors
• Threat hunting and creating, reviewing, and actioning alerts
• Creating scripts to enrich telemetry data with third-party APIs
• Aggregating data for meaningful reports and dashboards

Requirements:

• Advanced SQL skills
• Pipeline and database automation
• Building alerts based on telemetry data
• Deep understanding of data transformation and enrichment
• Building dashboards in BI tools
• Data labeling
• Appeal review to fine-tune ML models
• Analytical thinking to find patterns in telemetry data
• Able to work well with data analyst and software development teams
• Understanding of Lamda services, PostgreSQL databases / Aurora and Snowflake
• Excellent and professional communication skills in English (written and verbal)
