Job Description
Gearbox Software is seeking a Senior Tools Programmer to join their game development team in Frisco, Texas. The ideal candidate will maintain, enhance, and extend the current game development toolset. This role requires strong C++ programming skills and excellent problem-solving and communication abilities to assist the development team in creating video games.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, enhance, and implement tools systems used by all projects
  • Interact with project team members to gather, interpret, and discuss design requirements
  • Assist users in identifying and resolving tool and/or workflow issues

Requirements:
  • 5+ years game industry experience
  • Excellent C++ skills
  • Proficient C# skills
  • Ability to design flexible, extendible, and performant software
  • Experience with a variety of computer-related languages and tool-related technologies
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Excellent UI/UX design skills
  • Excellent creative problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for developing high-quality software

Nice-to-haves:
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine
  • Background in creating and maintaining tools systems
