Principal Software Engineer (Online) - WWE 2K (REMOTE)

Job Description

Visual Concepts is seeking a Principal Engineer to serve as a technical leader for the WWE 2K franchise's online efforts. The Principal Engineer will partner with multiple cross-disciplinary teams to expand the online capabilities of the title. He will lead all aspects of a team that’s designing, implementing, and launching these services and features for a variety of modes and experiences within the game, ensuring timeliness, quality and scalability.Role involves:

• Leading the design, execution, and launch of online features for the WWE 2K franchise.
• Executing features with complex requirements, ensuring expected results, needs, and dependencies are known, planned and accounted for.
• Leading by example by being hands-on with code and implementation, effectively balancing this with driving high level vision and motivating and guiding team members.
• Working closely with the engineering team and production to manage multiple goals, priorities, and resources.
• Driving automation, testing, and the streamlining and consolidation of complex overlapping systems.
• Establishing and maintaining an atmosphere of high standards and accountability.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of proven experience in online systems.
• 5+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Online game architecture experience demonstrating success with scalability, reliability, and live ops.
• Strong coding experience.
• Experience in planning large roll outs with load testing, monitoring, and security.
• Love for video games.
