Job Description
The Field Engineering Lead at Wayve is responsible for on-site leadership, rapid fault diagnosis, and resolution of vehicle software and hardware issues to maintain fleet uptime. This role involves overseeing and supporting field engineers, ensuring a quick response time, and coordinating with global teams. The Field Engineering Lead will play a crucial role in shaping processes and driving efficiency within the Fleet Operations function.
Role involves:
- Leading on-site fault triage and resolution.
- Collaborating with the Reliability Engineering team.
- Developing and enforcing structured processes for fault diagnosis and repair.
- Overseeing and supporting field engineers.
- Managing global operational handovers.
- Coordinating on-call support and shift coverage.
- Upholding strict safety and compliance standards.
- Continuously improving field engineering support.
Requirements:
- Lead by example, inspiring and guiding a team of Field Engineers.
- Take full ownership of the field engineering function within their respective location.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, fault triage, and repair processes.
- Skilled in process development, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency.
- Excellent ability to coordinate with global teams and provide clear technical guidance.
- Deep understanding of safety protocols and incident management.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
