Job Description
Wayve is seeking a Field Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational status of Wayve's vehicle fleet by diagnosing and resolving software and hardware issues. The Field Engineer will collaborate with fellow engineers and global teams to ensure seamless operations and contribute to process improvements within the Fleet Operations function.
The role involves:
- Performing on-site fault triage and resolution.
- Following structured fault diagnosis and repair protocols.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Responding rapidly to issues, meeting the 5-minute issue response.
- Maintaining clear communication with the Field Engineering Lead.
- Participating in on-call rotations for 24/7 global support.
- Adhering to strict safety and compliance protocols.
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software, and hardware fault triage.
- Experience in fleet operations, automotive systems, or ADAS technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly.
- Capable of working closely with global teams and providing clear technical updates.
- Deep understanding of safety protocols and adherence to operational procedures.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including on-call rotations and weekend coverage.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, software monitoring platforms, and ticketing systems like JIRA.
