Job Description
Wayve is seeking a Global Supply Chain Manager to collaborate with engineers, scale early-stage product development, and establish a robust supply chain. The Global Supply Chain Manager will cultivate relationships with diverse suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure product availability. This role involves partnering with engineering teams to guide product development, manage supplier relationships, and control product costs. The GSM will communicate cost information to leadership and identify alternative manufacturing paths for cost and demand improvements.
Role Involves:
- Establishing supplier relationships for low-volume, high-technology products.
- Managing supply chain requirements in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Enabling the hardware team's platform for software development.
- Creating agile and adaptive supply chains to respond to short-term requests and design evolution.
- Managing the bill of materials costs and driving cost reduction in the supply chain.
- Identifying design for manufacture opportunities.
Requirements:
- Experience bringing newly developed products to scale through partner relationships.
- Ability to do cost accounting for products and negotiate improvements with scale.
- Ability to drive decision-making across a broad group of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in collaborative development between internal teams and external partners and suppliers.
- Strong communication skills to represent tradeoffs and decisions to teams and leadership.
- Comfortable working in an agile program environment with aggressive milestones.
