Job Description

Wayve is seeking a Tech Lead, ML Edge Deployment to spearhead the strategic direction of its GPU kernel development. This role is crucial for deploying transformer-based driving models efficiently onto autonomous vehicles. The Tech Lead will lead a multi-disciplinary team of GPU kernel engineers, breaking down large milestones into achievable objectives. They will also be a hands-on engineer, delivering critical roadmap milestones for efficient inference on various target GPUs and accelerators. This individual will collaborate closely with the ML and Software teams to optimize models for edge deployment and will have opportunities to develop new skills in model optimization.Role involves:

• Leading a team of GPU kernel engineers.
• Delivering milestones for efficient inference on GPUs and accelerators.
• Optimizing models for deployment on edge devices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a technical lead or senior engineer.
• Experience developing GPU kernels (CUDA, OpenCL, etc.).
• Proficiency in C++ and ML frameworks like PyTorch.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide a team of engineers.
