Job Description

DevRev is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Engineer to join its pre-sales team. The Solutions Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for prospective customers. This role involves collaborating with various teams, including Account Executives, Product Management, Engineering, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success, to ensure solutions meet and exceed customer expectations. The Solutions Engineer will play a crucial role in the sales process by providing technical expertise, conducting product demonstrations, and supporting the development of technical proposals.

The Solutions Engineer will work directly with customers to understand their technical needs, build custom solutions during Proof of Concepts (PoCs), integrate and demonstrate DevRev Apps with customers’ existing SaaS ecosystem, and ensure a smooth transition to implementation and customer success teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert technical support to the sales team.
  • Conducting live product demonstrations.
  • Collaborating with customers to understand their technical requirements.
  • Assisting in the creation of technical proposals and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Analyzing competitor products and providing insights on competitive advantages.
  • Training sales teams on the technical aspects of products and solutions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Customizing solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Ensuring a seamless transition of new customers to implementation and customer success teams.
  • Working closely with internal teams to improve sales engineering processes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales or sales engineering role.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Hands-on coding experience in Python/JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Experience of building custom integrations with SaaS vendors' APIs (ex: Jira, SalesForce, Freshdesk, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Proven experience in conducting product demonstrations and developing technical proposals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer engagement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in competitive analysis and market research.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% based on client and business needs.
