Assistant Vice President, Investment Accounting

Job Description

Global Atlantic is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Investment Accounting to support the accounting for its strategic investments. The candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly ledger reconciliations, validating the accuracy of investment results, and preparing GAAP 10Q/K investment disclosures. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, knowledge of GAAP, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities include:

• Recognizing and recording complex new investment transactions.
• Managing monthly investment and suspense reconciliations.
• Performing month-end and quarter-end closing procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and NAIC Model Audit Rule.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly management reports.
• Overseeing and monitoring activity in assigned SPVs.
• Collaborating with functional teams and auditors.

Qualifications:

• Renewable energy and real estate investment accounting background (strongly preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, MBA, CFA preferred.
• 10-12 years of relevant experience. Public Accounting experience a plus.
• Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles.
• Familiarity with complex transactions, internal securitizations, and SPVs.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel.
• Pro-active, detail oriented, deadline driven; possess excellent documentation and analysis skills.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.

• Base salary range: $140,000 - $175,000.
