Accountant

Job Description

Contentful is seeking an Accountant to join their team in Denver, Colorado. This role involves performing timely bank reconciliations and other core accounting functions, supporting complex accounting areas, and contributing to monthly close processes. The Accountant will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize financial processes and controls, identify opportunities for efficiency, and participate in financial audits.Responsibilities:

• Perform timely bank reconciliations and other core accounting functions
• Support complex accounting areas, including capitalization analysis, foreign currency considerations, and intercompany transactions
• Prepare, analyze, and interpret large data sets to support monthly and quarterly reporting
• Contribute to monthly close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Collaborate cross-functionally to implement and optimize financial processes and controls
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and scalability
• Participate in financial audits and support compliance efforts
• Stay up to date on GAAP and other accounting standards impacting SaaS companies

Requirements:

• Experience with core accounting functions
• Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards
• Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets
