Job Description

DRW, a diversified trading firm, is seeking a Machine Learning Specialist to join their team in Montreal. The ideal candidate will build critical systems for machine learning models and significantly impact the company. DRW values autonomy and the ability to pivot quickly to seize opportunities.

Role Involves:

• Designing and implementing scalable and performant systems for serving machine learning models.
• Optimizing training and inference performance of deep learning models.
• Creating and maintaining feature pipelines, feature stores, and model stores.
• Monitoring production models and setting up retraining infrastructure to improve performance.
• Optimizing models for deployment on different hardware configurations.
• Building frameworks to promote scalable and reproducible research.
• Driving projects and leading new initiatives.
• Facilitating discussions on code implementation, testing, and software architecture best practices.
• Actively engaging with other team members to solve design and coding problems.
• Collaborating with stakeholders from different departments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience building software for machine learning systems.
• Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts.
• Excellent programming and scripting skills (primarily Python and Go).
• Experience building, validating, deploying, monitoring, and updating production models.
• Experience with infrastructure and tooling for MLOps.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, TensorRT, ONNX.
• Experience with GPU programming using CUDA, OpenCL, or similar libraries.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing (Kubernetes, Docker, GCP, AWS), multithreaded programming, and hardware/software interaction is a plus.
