Data Center Operations Engineer

Job Description

Leaseweb APAC is seeking a Data Center Operations Engineer to join their growing team in Sydney, Australia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily management of data center facilities in the APAC region, including server configuration and installation during the provisioning process. They will also assist customers with network equipment installation.

The role involves:

• Installation, configuration, relocation, and removal of server equipment
• Assisting customers within data centers
• Upgrading/downgrading server equipment
• Replacing hardware and handling administrative matters
• Testing servers and server equipment
• Working with remote hands partners to support server installation and adjustments

Requirements:

• At least one year of hands-on experience in a data center
• Knowledge of operating systems, especially Linux
• Knowledge of hardware (servers, switches, KVM, hard drives, memory, etc.)
• Basic network knowledge
• Certificate or degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
• Professional and effective communication in English
