Job Description
Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to provide weather forecasts and insights for the European Gas and Power markets. The successful candidate will collaborate with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities and optimize strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide meteorological forecasts and analyses for trading horizons.
- Develop and maintain statistical and numerical models.
- Translate meteorological data into actionable insights.
- Present intelligence to traders, analysts, and leadership.
- Partner with the commercial team to refine trading strategies.
- Collaborate with data scientists, developers, and meteorologists.
- Stay updated on advancements in meteorology and energy trading.
- Adapt forecasting models to market conditions.
- Uphold Cobblestone’s core values.
- Contribute to independent thinking and excellence.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading.
- Understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or related field.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player in fast-paced environments.
