Job Description
YouGov is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its Behavioral team in Warsaw, Poland. This role involves processing and analyzing large datasets to provide insights into consumer actions. The Senior Data Scientist will work with data sources such as SVOD watching history, gaming data, banking transactions, browsing history, and YouTube history. The ideal candidate will be excited about generating insights from large datasets and taking end-to-end ownership of projects.
What this role involves:
- Developing, delivering, and operating new data science services and features for YouGov Safe and/or YouGov Signal platforms.
- Using statistical, algorithmic, data mining, and visualization techniques to model complex problems.
- Finding creative and innovative ways of solving problems and delivering solutions.
- Owning projects based on data and answering market research-related questions.
- Communicating data-driven insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 4+ years proficiency in data science and modelling using Python, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, StatsModels, Git.
- 1+ year proficiency in processing Big Data using PySpark, Apache Airflow, Presto / Athena SQL and regular SQL.
- Experience with Machine Learning, Evaluation, feature engineering, model training, model deployment.
- Strong programming skills - writing clean and efficient code.
- Strong understanding of statistics, statistical modelling techniques and data analysis methods.
- Ability to ask relevant questions and offer thoughtful opinions.
- Experience working remotely in a global environment for at least a year.
- Communicate fluently in English.
