Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to provide impactful weather forecasts for European Gas and Power markets. The role involves collaborating with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities and optimize strategies, directly contributing to commercial success. Responsibilities include:

• Providing detailed meteorological forecasts for intraday, day-ahead, and month-ahead trading horizons.
• Developing and maintaining advanced statistical and numerical models to capture relationships between weather patterns and market volatility.
• Translating complex meteorological data into clear insights for commercial decisions.
• Presenting actionable intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
• Partnering with the commercial team to refine trading strategies.
• Working with data scientists, developers, and meteorologists to drive innovation.
• Staying updated on advancements in meteorological science and energy trading practices.
• Adapting forecasting models to evolving market conditions.

Requirements include:

• 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading environments.
• Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets and the impact of weather fluctuations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative approach.
