Job Description
Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to provide impactful weather forecasts and insights for intraday to month-ahead horizons in the European Gas and Power markets. The successful candidate will collaborate with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities, optimize strategies, and contribute to commercial success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed meteorological forecasts for trading horizons, focusing on weather impacts on European Gas and Power prices.
- Develop advanced statistical and numerical models to capture the relationships between weather patterns and short-term market volatility.
- Translate complex meteorological data into clear insights for commercial decisions.
- Present actionable intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
- Partner with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
- Collaborate with data scientists, developers, and meteorologists to drive innovation.
- Stay updated on advancements in meteorological science and energy trading practices.
- Adapt forecasting models to evolving market conditions.

Requirements:
- 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading environments.
- Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets and the impact of weather fluctuations.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
