Job Description

Cobblestone Energy, an energy trading company specializing in European Gas and Power markets, seeks an Energy Meteorologist to deliver high-impact weather forecasts and insights for intraday through month-ahead horizons. The Energy Meteorologist will collaborate with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities, optimize strategies, and contribute to the company's commercial success.

Responsibilities:

• Provide meteorological forecasts and analyses for trading horizons.
• Develop and maintain statistical and numerical models.
• Translate meteorological data into actionable insights.
• Present intelligence to traders, analysts, and leadership.
• Partner with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
• Work with data scientists, developers, and meteorologists.
• Adapt forecasting models to evolving market conditions.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading environments.
• Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative team player.
