Job Description

Cobblestone Energy, an energy trading company specializing in European Gas and Power markets, is seeking an Energy Meteorologist. The successful candidate will deliver high-impact weather forecasts and insights for intraday through month-ahead horizons, collaborating with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities and optimize strategies.

The role involves:

• Providing accurate meteorological forecasts and analyses.
• Developing and maintaining advanced statistical and numerical models.
• Translating complex data into clear insights.
• Presenting actionable intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
• Partnering with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
• Collaborating with data scientists, developers, and fellow meteorologists.
• Adapting forecasting models to evolving market conditions.
• Upholding Cobblestone’s core values.

The requirements are:

• At least 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist.
• Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative team player.
