Job Description

Cobblestone Energy, an energy trading company specializing in European Gas and Power markets, is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to deliver high-impact weather forecasts and insights for intraday through month-ahead horizons. The Energy Meteorologist will collaborate with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities, optimize strategies, and contribute directly to the company's commercial success.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing detailed meteorological forecasts and analyses for intraday, day-ahead, and month-ahead trading horizons.
• Developing and maintaining advanced statistical and numerical models.
• Translating complex meteorological data into clear insights.
• Presenting actionable intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
• Partnering with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
• Working closely with data scientists, developers, and fellow meteorologists.
• Rapidly adapting forecasting models to evolving market conditions.

Requirements include:

• 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist.
• A strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative team player.
