Snr. Database Administrator (Position located in Kochi, India)

Job Description

KnowBe4 is seeking a Snr. Database Administrator to join their Platform Engineering team in Kochi, India. The Snr. Database Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's databases and data stores. He will collaborate with the Principal Database Architect and other members of the Database Engineering team to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the database infrastructure.Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing day-to-day database operations, ensuring availability, integrity, and security.
• Performing routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and upgrades.
• Identifying and addressing database and query performance issues.
• Implementing and maintaining database security measures.
• Responding to database-related incidents and providing timely resolutions.
• Working closely with the Principal Database Architect to implement database strategies.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of database configurations and procedures.
• Conducting capacity planning to ensure database infrastructure meets requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Extensive experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in database design, implementation, and maintenance, including various database and datastore systems (SQL, NoSQL, in-memory databases, object storage, etc).
