Job Description

Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to deliver high-impact weather forecasts for the European Gas and Power markets. The role involves collaborating with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities, optimize strategies, and contribute directly to the company's commercial success. Responsibilities:

  • Provide meteorological forecasts focusing on weather's impact on European Gas and Power prices.
  • Develop and maintain statistical and numerical models.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Partner with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
  • Work with data scientists and developers to drive innovation.
  • Adapt forecasting models to evolving market conditions.

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading.
  • Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
