Job Description

The company is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Marketing Science team in Mauritius. The Data Scientist will be responsible for breaking down abstract problems into understandable and measurable parts, helping clients understand their customer segments. This role requires a curious and intellectually driven individual with a passion for data analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Simplify complex business problems into manageable parts.
  • Apply advanced analysis methods to predict outcomes.
  • Propose compelling, evidence-based theories that explain trends in metrics.
  • Collaborate with MKS and account teams to understand business context.
  • Stay updated on industry news and analysis techniques.
  • Help design dashboards and automate reporting with scripts.
  • Assist in tagging and data infrastructure design.
  • Design A/B tests and other measurement frameworks.
  • Represent data and insights to wider teams.

Requirements:

  • Great English skills (B2+ level at least).
  • 1–3 years of experience with Python or R, Panda, and exploratory data analysis.
  • 1–3 years of experience applying advanced statistical analysis.
  • 1–3 years of experience explaining complex topics to a non-technical audience.
  • Knowledge in S3, Docker, AWS, and SQL is desirable.
  • Ability to learn quickly from a wide range of different subjects.
  • Effective operation in uncertain environments.
  • Anticipation and adoption of innovations in digital and technological applications.
  • Good and timely decision-making.
  • Ability to make sense of complex information to solve problems.
