Job Description

Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to provide high-impact weather forecasts for the European Gas and Power markets. The Energy Meteorologist will collaborate with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities, optimize strategies, and contribute to the company's commercial success.

The role involves:

• Providing detailed meteorological forecasts for intraday, day-ahead, and month-ahead trading horizons.
• Developing and maintaining advanced statistical and numerical models.
• Translating complex meteorological data into clear insights.
• Presenting actionable intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
• Partnering with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
• Staying updated on advancements in meteorological science and energy trading practices.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading environments.
• Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
