Job Description
Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to provide weather forecasts and insights for the European Gas and Power markets. The role involves collaborating with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities, optimise strategies, and contribute to commercial success. The candidate will work in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate meteorological forecasts for intraday, day-ahead, and month-ahead trading horizons.
- Develop and maintain advanced statistical and numerical models.
- Translate complex meteorological data into clear insights.
- Present actionable intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
- Partner with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
- Work closely with data scientists, developers, and fellow meteorologists.
- Stay on top of the latest advancements in both meteorological science and energy trading practices.
- Rapidly adapt forecasting models to evolving market conditions.

Requirements:
- At least 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist.
- Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical approach, problem-solving abilities, and a results-oriented focus.
- A collaborative team player who thrives under pressure in fast-paced trading environments.
