IMC is seeking a Head of Compliance Europe to lead and oversee compliance activities across its European Trading entities in London, Amsterdam, Zug, and Aarhus. The Head of Compliance Europe will ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while fostering a culture of integrity and ethical conduct. As a strategic partner to the business, he/she will provide expert guidance to senior leadership in Europe and influence decision-making. This role is based in Amsterdam (or potentially in London) and reports directly to IMC’s Chief Risk Officer and the European Head of Operations.
Role Involves:
Developing and executing a comprehensive compliance strategy aligned with IMC's European and global objectives.
Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on regulatory developments and compliance risks.
Overseeing the development, implementation, and harmonization of European compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
Leading compliance monitoring and risk assessment activities to identify and mitigate potential regulatory risks.
Building, managing, and mentoring a high-performing compliance team across Europe.
Maintaining strong relationships with (European) regulatory bodies and industry groups.
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in European algorithmic trading compliance.
A deep understanding of financial markets, trading strategies and products, with an excellent understanding of algorithmic trading compliance and surveillance.
Strong understanding of European regulatory frameworks, including IFD/IFR, MiFID/MiFIR, MAR, SSR, EMIR, AML/CTF, REMIT and MICAR.
A proven track record of leading regulatory business change initiatives across the business, coordinating across multiple stakeholders and geographical locations.
Demonstrated ability of improving operational compliance activities, monitoring processes and tooling.
Demonstrated management experience, including leading geographically dispersed teams across multiple locations.
Strong project management capabilities to oversee compliance initiatives, compliance monitoring programs and coordinate efforts across European entities.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Sophisticated analytical skills and ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas or concepts clearly.
