Job Description
IMC Trading is seeking a Junior Information Security Engineer to enhance their Security Operations Center (SOC) in Chicago. The candidate will protect IMC's IT infrastructure and intellectual property against threats. This role involves working with technology, risk, compliance, and business leaders to mitigate cyber risks.He or she will be responsible for:
  • Analyzing security logs and alerts.
  • Responding to security incidents.
  • Hunting for potential compromises using threat intelligence.
  • Reporting vulnerabilities and suggesting remediation.
  • Supporting and improving technical security controls.
  • Automating repetitive tasks.
  • Developing security control effectiveness reports.
  • Improving incident response playbooks.
Requirements include:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with a passion for cybersecurity.
  • Previous SOC experience or 3+ years in enterprise IT.
  • Exposure to security controls like IAM and vulnerability management.
  • Basic coding skills for automation.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., BA in Information Systems, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
