Job Description
Cobblestone Energy is looking for an Energy Meteorologist to deliver weather forecasts and insights for the European Gas and Power markets. The Energy Meteorologist will collaborate with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities, optimize strategies, and contribute directly to Cobblestone Energy's commercial success. This role is based in Dubai, UAE.

Role involves:
  • Providing meteorological forecasts and analyses for trading horizons.
  • Developing and maintaining statistical and numerical models.
  • Translating meteorological data into clear insights.
  • Presenting actionable intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
  • Partnering with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
  • Collaborating with data scientists, developers, and fellow meteorologists.
  • Staying updated on advancements in meteorological science and energy trading.
  • Adapting forecasting models to evolving market conditions.
  • Upholding Cobblestone’s core values.

Requirements:
  • 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading environments.
  • Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical approach and problem-solving abilities.
  • A collaborative team player.
