Job Description
IMC Trading is seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer to join their team in Chicago. In this role, the Lead Frontend Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining responsive applications crucial for decision-making in a dynamic, high-stakes trading environment. He will transform complex trading data into intuitive, actionable visualizations and develop tools that enable the team to make faster and more informed decisions. He will manage the react-based GUI platform and facilitate its integration by Java-focused backend developers.
  • Develop and refine the frontend technology stack, focusing on React.
  • Design and implement real-time data visualization tools.
  • Create scalable, performant UI components for trading environments.
  • Collaborate with trading and strategy teams to translate trading needs into visual tools.
  • Lead the expansion of the team’s expertise in React and advanced web development.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and contribute to cross-departmental initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in frontend application development.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with React.
  • Advanced skills in TypeScript and modern development tools.
  • Proven track record in UI/UX design.
  • Proficiency in automated testing.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interest in data visualization and financial markets.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes are advantageous.
