IMC is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join their team in Sydney. The intern will be responsible for spotting new opportunities, developing new technologies, and solving problems. IMC's software makes millions of trading decisions daily in competitive markets. The Engineering Intern will be supported by a mentor and have access to pair programming and code reviews. They will be assigned a project in either Low Latency or Algorithmic areas.
Role Involves:
Developing and executing low latency systems.
Building and maintaining systems with minimal latency.
Creating and supporting systems that drive trading strategies.
Developing and implementing algorithms that calculate pricing and risks.
Supporting the development of tools and infrastructure for analyzing, modeling, and trading financial products.
Requirements:
An academic background in Computer Science or Engineering, with a minimum Distinction average or equivalent.
Commenced your penultimate year of study.
Strong analytical skills and desire to solve complicated problems programmatically.
Proficient experience in one of the following programming languages (C++, Java or Python required).
