Job Description
IMC, a global trading firm, is seeking a Trading Strategy Software Engineer to join their Amsterdam team. The successful candidate will collaborate with traders, researchers, quants, and fellow engineers to deliver high-impact projects, from requirements gathering to production deployment.Role involves:
  • Close collaboration with traders to understand trading strategies and implement them optimally.
  • Building cutting-edge solutions by developing, testing, deploying, tuning, and maintaining applications, algorithms, research infrastructures, and automation for Trading Teams.
  • Continuously improving functional and operational aspects of strategy systems to enhance user experience and system performance.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer with excellent programming abilities.
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, memory models, and concurrency models.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and a keen interest in applying them to the Trading field.
  • Ability to work independently, analyze business requirements, communicate with stakeholders, and take full ownership of solutions.
  • Highly adaptable and able to thrive in uncertain, rapidly evolving environments.
  • Master’s or PhD degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin) or Python.
