Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to provide weather forecasts and insights for European Gas and Power markets. The successful candidate will collaborate with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities and optimize strategies.

The role with Cobblestone Energy involves:

• Providing accurate meteorological forecasts for intraday, day-ahead, and month-ahead trading horizons.
• Developing and maintaining advanced statistical and numerical models.
• Translating complex meteorological data into clear insights.
• Presenting actionable intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
• Partnering with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
• Working closely with data scientists, developers, and fellow meteorologists.
• Staying on top of advancements in meteorological science and energy trading practices.
• Adapting forecasting models to evolving market conditions.

Requirements for the role include:

• 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading environments.
• Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical approach and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative team player.
