Senior Index Volatility Trader

IMC Trading is seeking a Senior Index Volatility Trader to join their Index Options Team in Chicago. The successful candidate will contribute to volatility valuation, execution, and technology advancement, aiming to become a leading volatility trading desk. This role involves identifying and capitalizing on market mispricing, managing positions, and collaborating on strategy development.IMC Trading offers a collaborative, high-performance culture and is committed to innovation and giving back.Responsibilities:

• Maximize revenue by identifying and monetizing short and long-term mispricing.
• Manage resulting positions.
• Take ownership of executions to drive the Index Options strategy forward.
• Collaborate with the team to develop expertise and innovation in the Index Options space.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as an Index Volatility Trader.
• Demonstrated success managing positions and risk for a large Index Options Desk.
• Experience with programming, preferably in Python.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
• Deep understanding of analytics and the fundamental drivers of volatility dynamics.
• BS, MS, or PhD, preferably in business, economics, or STEM.
