Job Description

IMC is seeking an experienced Power Trader to join its new power and gas trading business in Århus, Denmark. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring European power markets, executing trades, and driving strategies forward. IMC is a global trading firm with a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Role Involves:

  • Monitoring European power markets (intraday/day-ahead in CWE, Eastern Europe, UK, Nordics etc.)
  • Executing trades based on quantitative signals and/or discretionary insights
  • Taking significant responsibility and ownership early to drive strategies forward and ensure success
  • Training new joiners on the desk

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background, preferably in a quantitative field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in trading intraday power in Europe, preferably at a proprietary trading desk
  • Proven track record of P&L ownership
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a healthy risk appetite, competitive nature, and fast decision-making capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluency in English
