IMC is seeking an Equity Options Research Analyst to join its growing research team in Chicago. This role involves working closely with experienced team members, senior traders, and senior management to enhance IMC’s proprietary research platform. The analyst will provide real-time news analysis, critical feedback, and construct possible outcomes for equity-moving events. They will also keep abreast of major US sectors and understand the risks associated with equity positions.
The role involves:
Providing real-time news analysis to traders.
Offering critical feedback on company analysis.
Constructing possible outcomes for equity-moving events.
Keeping up to date with major US sectors.
Analyzing company events and managing risk.
Challenging the status quo and helping create a vision for the future of the IMC research team.
Requirements:
1+ years’ experience as an equity analyst/associate (trading environment preferred).
Proven experience covering a broad range of sectors.
Comfort working with incomplete information.
Experience with programming in Python, R, or Matlab is a plus.
CFA designation (or progress toward it) is a strong plus.
Strong Options knowledge including an understanding of the Greeks.
Ability to work successfully in a fast-moving and competitive environment.
