Job Description
Fetch is seeking a Lead Product Designer to join their team. In this role, the Lead Product Designer will be responsible for leading efforts to improve people’s lives, guiding the team’s culture through mentorship and thought leadership, and infusing user-centered practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a risk-taker, endlessly curious, an expert collaborator, a UI craftsperson, radically scrappy, and a team player.
Role Involves:
- Launching design to production regularly
- Becoming intimately familiar with the Fetch app
- Integrating within the team
- Understanding the team’s focus, goals, and KPIs
- Developing strong working relationships with the team, product owner, and tech lead
- Leading design critiques with stakeholders and peers
- Collaborating on Design Ops initiatives
- Running usability studies
- Influencing and making decisions within the team and larger organization
- Exploring opportunities through research
- Mentoring team members
- Actively driving research activities
- Launching multiple features into production
Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant experience, native mobile app design experience required
- Experience with Figma, conducting research, and working with animation tools like Rive or Lottie
- Technical acumen and experience designing for complex problems and tools
- Ability to self-direct and prioritize work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience designing, building, maintaining, and implementing design systems
- Team and/or project management experience
