Job Description

FREE NOW is seeking a Director of Data to lead and manage the organization’s data operations. The Director of Data will ensure that data is effectively used to support business strategies and decision-making. This role involves overseeing data infrastructure, establishing data governance practices, developing a data strategy, and fostering a data-driven culture across the organization. The Director of Data aims to maximize the value of data assets, drive innovation through advanced analytics and AI, and ensure data integrity, quality, and security.

Role Involves:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of data professionals.
  • Developing and executing a data strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Overseeing design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure.
  • Driving advanced analytics and AI to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Implementing and enforcing policies for data quality, integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions and ensure alignment.
  • Staying current on data and AI trends, implementing new technologies to drive innovation.
  • Tracking KPIs and providing regular updates to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of data architecture, warehousing, integration, and governance principles.
  • Expertise in advanced analytics, machine learning, AI, statistical analysis, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency with data management tools (SQL, NoSQL) and analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Python, R) and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Proven track record in leading and mentoring high-performing data teams.
  • Ability to align data strategies with business goals and prioritize initiatives.
  • Expertise in data engineering, analytics, science, and infrastructure design/maintenance.
  • Strong skills in conveying complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and effective reporting.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve data-related challenges.
  • Stay current with data/AI trends and implement new technologies and methodologies.
