Machine Learning Engineering Lead - Barcelona

Job Description

FREE NOW is seeking a Machine Learning Engineering Lead to join their Marketplace department in Barcelona. The Marketplace department is the core of FREE NOW's platform and consists of Product Management, Data and Engineering. The ideal candidate will work closely with Product and Engineering Managers to enhance existing products and explore opportunities to improve Marketplace performance. This role involves leading a team of 4 to 6 Machine Learning Engineers, providing mentorship, and contributing to the data strategy of Marketplace alongside the Data Science Lead.

Role Involves:

• Mentoring Machine Learning Engineers to improve system architecture and reliability.
• Collaborating with data science and engineering managers to set team priorities.
• Implementing components of the ML engineering infrastructure.
• Facilitating collaboration between product managers, data scientists, and engineers.
• Identifying and solving complex problems to improve real-time data products.
• Advocating for Machine Learning Engineers and improving delivery speed and quality.

Requirements:
