Job Description

This Machine Learning Engineering Lead role at FREE NOW involves working within the Marketplace department, collaborating with Product Management, Data, and Engineering teams. The primary focus is to enhance existing products like surge or demand prediction and explore opportunities to improve Marketplace performance. The role includes leading a team of 4 to 6 Machine Learning Engineers, providing mentorship, and contributing to the data strategy alongside the Data Science Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring Machine Learning Engineers to improve system architecture and reliability.
  • Collaborating with data science and engineering managers to set team priorities.
  • Conceptualizing and implementing components of the ML engineering infrastructure.
  • Facilitating collaboration between product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams.
  • Identifying and solving complex problems to improve real-time data products.
  • Advocating for Machine Learning Engineers within the business.
