Job Description

Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to deliver high-impact weather forecasts for the European Gas and Power markets. The Energy Meteorologist will collaborate with traders and analysts to pinpoint weather-driven trading opportunities, using their expertise to optimize strategies and contribute directly to the company's commercial success.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate meteorological forecasts for trading horizons.
• Develop and maintain advanced statistical and numerical models.
• Translate complex meteorological data into clear insights.
• Present actionable intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
• Partner with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
• Collaborate with data scientists, developers, and fellow meteorologists.
• Stay updated on advancements in meteorological science and energy trading practices.
• Adapt forecasting models to evolving market conditions.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading environments.
• Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative team player who thrives under pressure.
