Job Description

Tatari is seeking a Senior QA Automation (SDET) Engineer to join their Reporting and Measurement Engineering team. The ideal candidate will support the resiliency of Tatari’s measurement dashboards, develop safeguards and validations for critical data pipelines, shape the broader testing strategy, drive technical excellence, and lead initiatives to improve overall software quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the quality of software releases
  • Design and development a test automation framework for both back end systems, data pipelines, and front end components using modern tools and technologies
  • Partnering with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to debug complex issues
  • Create and maintain a full suite of data driven automation tests for regression, functional, performance, load, and stress testing
  • Collaborate with the engineering team, and/or relevant stakeholders, to improve the functional code coverage of our automation suite in every product release
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and test specifications to reduce launch regressions
  • Execute manual and automated tests against the test plan, record defects, verify fixes, and propose enhancements to engineering teams as necessary
  • Partner with SRE to construct the necessary test environment and QA Lab including installation and management of web server, application server, database, and operating system

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in SDET or Test Automation QA Engineer using object-oriented design and coding skills at a start-up environment.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Prefer candidates with experience testing very high volume web applications with a large component of back end analytics and data processing
  • Strong proficiency in Python is essential, as well as solid understanding of SQL and relational databases, including cloud-hosted databases such as AWS.
  • Experience implementing test automation frameworks for UI, API, micro services, and data pipelines using any test automation tools, such as Playwright, REST-Assured, and Great Expectations.
  • Detail oriented with a passion for testing, a high degree of self motivation, an unwavering commitment to excellence, and an excellent work ethic.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
