Cobblestone Energy is seeking an Energy Meteorologist to deliver impactful weather forecasts for European Gas and Power markets. The ideal candidate will collaborate with traders and analysts to identify weather-driven trading opportunities, optimize strategies, and contribute to the company's commercial success. The role involves providing detailed meteorological forecasts, developing statistical and numerical models, translating data into actionable insights, partnering with the commercial team, and contributing to a culture of independent thinking and rigorous analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Providing accurate, detailed meteorological forecasts and analyses for intraday, day-ahead, and month-ahead trading horizons.
• Developing and maintaining advanced statistical and numerical models.
• Translating complex meteorological data into clear insights.
• Presenting actionable intelligence to traders, analysts, and senior leadership.
• Partnering with the commercial team to fine-tune trading strategies.
• Working closely with data scientists, developers, and fellow meteorologists.
• Staying on top of the latest advancements in both meteorological science and energy trading practices.
• Rapidly adapting forecasting models to evolving market conditions.

Requirements:

• At least 2–3 years as an Energy Meteorologist in energy trading environments.
• Strong understanding of European Gas and Power markets.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Physics, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical approach and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative team player who thrives under pressure.
